Dedicated to the history of the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co. founded 1899 in San Antonio, Texas.

Gunter Building

San Antonio, Texas. Downtown professional-services building. Two H&H service-provider tenants documented in the 1923 San Antonio Light trade run:

  • Perry L. King Auditing Company — Room 210 Gunter Building (telephone Travis 4346). H&H’s auditing/accounting firm.
  • Pitluk Advertising Company — Suite 608 Gunter Building. H&H’s advertising agency for the 1923 trade-and-consumer push.

Both were engaged in the same period (1923) and shared the same office building — common for early 20th-century San Antonio commercial life where downtown professional buildings clustered finance, advertising, and legal services.

  • Year built; original tenant mix; current building status (still standing in 2026?)
  • Other H&H-related tenants over the decades
  • Whether the Pitluk–Perry L. King physical proximity was coincidence or a referral chain
