Tight crop on the H and H Blend Coffee brand lockup — "We roast It, others praise It" script tagline above bold "H AND H" slab-serif caps and "Blend Coffee" script, with a steaming cup-and-saucer vignette at the right, 29 Oct 1926 San Antonio Light

The crop pulls the ad’s brand-signature lockup out of the larger Light display. Across the top, the cursive tagline “We roast It, others praise It” sits in a slanted script. Beneath it, “H AND H” is set in heavy slab-serif display caps with a flowing “Blend Coffee” script tucked underneath. To the right of the wordmark, a generously sized steaming cup and saucer line drawing rises with curling steam — the same cup-and-saucer device used in the 1924 News footer banner but rendered larger here and tightly integrated with the wordmark.

For Hoffmann-Hayman brand history this 1926 lockup is the most polished mid-decade brand signature in the archive: it formally couples the “We roast It, others praise It” slogan, the slab-serif “H AND H” wordmark, the cursive “Blend Coffee” sub-mark, and the steaming cup-and-saucer device in a single composed image. The frame is essentially a proto-brand-mark suitable for use without the full ad body — a tighter, more confidently composed version of the 1924 footer treatment.
