Miss Helen Hoffmann entertains at tea — Express-News, 13 May 1933
Saturday, 13 May 1933 San Antonio Express-News (page 8) social column. Miss Helen Hoffmann — daughter of the late William R. Hoffmann, founder of the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Company — hosts a tea from 5 to 8 p.m. at her home, 126 West Agarita, honoring a cohort of June graduates, including Antoinette Menger (her cousin, daughter of G. P. Menger). The group of honorees — Antoinette Menger, Mildred Ormesher, Margaret Schiebel, Inez Dielmann, Josephine Hennessy, and Mrs. Harold Galle — reflects the overlapping social circles of the Menger and Hoffmann families. Helen was then approximately 21–22 years old, living at the same West Agarita address that appears in her 1945 obituary.
