William R. Hoffmann Jr.
Infant son of William R. Hoffmann (H&H co-founder) and Wilhelmina “Minnie” Menger Hoffmann. Born December 1910; died January 1911 — surviving only weeks. His brief life is the documented context for Minnie’s grief in the year leading up to William Sr.’s own death in January 1912.
A younger sister, Helen Hoffmann (c. 1911/1912 – 1945), born around the time of their father’s death, survived to adulthood and was the namesake of Texas Girl Coffee, the Hoffmann-Hayman brand launched October 1933. After Minnie’s remarriage to Dr. William J. Schlosser (c. 1919), Helen gained a half-sister, Mildred Schlosser.
