Alamo Cook Book front cover, tan paper, Alamo image, "Published for Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co. San Antonio, Texas" and 50 cents price

In July 2014 we bought this at Magic Carpet Books, a used-and-rare shop. The Alamo Cook Book is a stapled, buff-paper retail booklet with a black Alamo view on the cover, Published for Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co., San Antonio, Texas in the imprint, and a fifty-cent price in the border—first-party home-economy ephemera, not a reprint. The back cover is a full advertisement for H and H Blend at thirty-five cents a pound, with a line drawing of a one-pound tin, the tagline Nothing better at any price, and the roaster line repeated; it sits in the paper run alongside the tins as a company-branded price anchor for the H and H Blend line.
