Third Crystalvac jar — clear, bail, base 5

On 8 July 2014 we closed another eBay Crystalvac for the comparison shelf. The jar is clear glass in the square Crystalvac plan: molded shoulder relief with block H and H and script Crystalvac lettering, a wire bail that arches over a flat-topped dark metal screw cap with a knurled skirt (heavily rusted in this example—patina, not a “plain” missing lid). The base carries the familiar Crystalvac / Container / Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. stack and a small mold numeral 5, the same class of mark the Three Rivers glass works used on retail H and H jars. We are still collecting every variant we can find and noting what differs from jar to jar—handle style, cap finish, and base number included.
