Talk Talks With Gun and Burglars Make Fleet Exit

Two burglars were routed from the H. & H. Coffee Company plant at 601 Delaware street last night by Nightwatchman Langley Talk after they had apparently lain in wait for the watchman on separate sides of the building. Talk, making his rounds, spotted one of the men near a window on the railroad track side of the building. When the watchman ap- proached the prowl er fled and Talk fired one shot after him. As the watchman fired, another man broke from the front of the building and ran, joining his ac- complice near an automobile which had been parked with the motor running on the Walnut street side of the building. The burglars leaped into the automobile and departed at high speed, escaping as Talk fired at them again. Radio Patrolmen Leichman and King conducted a search for the prowlers when they were called to the scene but failed to find them. Talk believed that the men had gone to separate sides of the build- ing to wait and overpower him when he appeared.
