HEY, FELLERS! DO YOU WANT A BIG BOX KITE, FREE?
Hey, Skinny! how’d you like to have a swell box kite? One that flies like a bird, tugs like a horse on the end of your line and looks the swelltest you ever saw in the air?
Oh, you would, would you! Well, big boy, here’s how you can get one. For the return of three one-pound EMPTY H & H Crystalvac jars, or for one three-pound EMPTY H & H Crystalvac jar, either to your home, or to the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co., plant, 601 Delaware Street, the finest box kite you ever cast your eyes on, or that ever sailed over San Antonio, will be given in return. And no strings tied to it, either. (You’ll have to furnish your own string.) But, if you haven’t any EMPTY Crystalvac H & H jars lying around your house, there’s another way to get one of these swell kites. All you have to do is to buy a pound of H & H Crystalvac coffee from any grocery and pay the trivial sum of 10 cents extra and a kite is yours!
You’ll like this box kite. It does not require any bridle, nor any tail. It can be flown high, or low, according to the position in which the string is tied. H & H Flyer box kites are now in display in all grocery stores throughout San Antonio and this section of the State. So you can get a kite in the country just the same as you can in town.
Thousands of these kites were purchased by the H & H Coffee Co., but don’t let any grass grow under your feet, partner, for there’s a limit to everything, even the big supply of these kites. So get busy right now and get your kite while the getting is good. The kites were made in San Antonio.
During the entire kite season, five specially built H & H Flyers, each six feet tall, will be flown in San Antonio from different locations, mostly the various public playgrounds, according to R. W. Menger, secretary and advertising manager of the Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co.
“We are glad to be able to offer this opportunity to every boy and girl in San Antonio and this section, who desires one, to have a fine box kite,” declared Mr. Menger in announcing this unique feature. “We know these kites will give the youngsters a lot of fine, wholesome pleasure—a real thrill.
“Also, this is an opportunity for us to redeem thousands of empty excess H & H Crystalvac jars, which have accumulated around homes during the last 12 months, or so. “These jars, when received at our plant, will be thoroughly cleaned, then sterilized with live steam, before re-use.”
