H and H Puzzler
While collecting items for an antique shop in Austin, this piece was found at an estate sale. They did some web searches, having never heard of H and H Coffee, and got i contact with us. We’d seen a picture of a puzzler before but didn’t know that much about it except that is was part of some “premiums” made to promote their brands. The copyright on the box is 1927. The shop in Austin we got the item from, Gypsies Antiques, specializes in European antiques but we told them the H and H story just in case a Texas Girl tin or an amber Crystalvac jar shows up.
The Puzzler is made of nine wooden pieces and paper instructions in a 3-1/4in x 4in cardboard box.
