Second Three-Pound Owens-Illinois Crystalvac (Clear)

A second three-pound clear-glass H and H Crystalvac jar, added to the shelf about a year after the first large-handle clear example from 2017. Same form factor — roughly ten and a quarter inches tall, squared body with “H AND H” block letters and the flowing “Crystalvac” script embossed on the front, Owens-Illinois diamond-and-oval mold marks on the base — but a different seller and a different specimen. The listing called out “Hoffman-Hayman” in the title, which places it after the Three Rivers factory closed in 1938 and Owens-Illinois picked up the Crystalvac blanks.

Duplicates at this size are useful: with multiple large O-I jars on the shelf we can compare plant/mold stamps and condition grades across the same Owens-Illinois run. The teaser image is the 2017 companion jar, since no photos of this 2018 specimen are yet in the collection.
